After serving for over 30 years on the senior staff of two of the largest teaching churches in America, I learned some of the principles and practices for growing a larger church.

If I am honest, it wasn’t till I started coaching and consulting with literally 100’s of churches that had grown to over 1000 in weekend attendance that I started learning the best practices, innovations and strategies use to overcome the common barriers to accelerated growth.

Every pastor I know hopes to grow their church. Not only numerically but in every way. But sorting though all the models and methods to do that is sometimes confusing. But what if the best practices and proven models for success were introduced and then you could talk about them live with your team. Solutions and strategies that fit your context, resources, staffing, and community could be developed together.

That is what this new coaching and consulting program is all about. Great ideas plus good conversation can lead to amazing breakthroughs.

While the gospel message won’t change, our methods and practices need to be ever-changing in order to reach not only the next but current generation. The only constant they say is change. The only question is what needs to change and how to change it.

Over the last three decades, I have become a student of the largest and fastest-growing churches and discovered the best principles and practices that can serve churches of all stages and sizes. And I love helping churches not only discover these learnings but develop a plan to move them from one place to the other.

Currently, a church will pick one of the major consulting tracks and a handful of electives (outlined below) that they believe meets their current needs. After an initial assessment, we will develop a master calendar and strategic plan to systematically address these needs. We will then begin partnering through a series of dynamic and intentional conversations and settings, including online learning.

The combination of selected custom tracks, strategically hand-picked electives, and the assessment provides the foundation for our conversations, training, and engagement over the course of six months to a year with us. This unique model I have developed engages a variety of levels of your church leadership, including senior pastor, church leadership team, and key ministry leaders.

CUSTOMIZED CONSULTING TRACKS

The following is a list of major ministry tracks that the largest and fastest growing churches experienced breakthroughs, developed working models, and developed greater expertise in order to go to the next level. My experience is that most churches will need to renew their systems, strategies and staffing around these major categories numerous times over the years because of shift in culture, emerging innovations, staff changes and church growth.

For many, selecting the major track may be clear right away but for others this will take some time and may in fact not be totally clear until after the assessment visit.  You also have a list of over 20 Electives to choose from that will help to fill out your dance card and address those hot topics not covered in your track.

Either way, this can be refined and dynamically updated based on your emerging real and felt needs over time. This really serves as a backbone or starting point for our ongoing discussions. And just in case you still are not clear you can select the “Build Your Own” track where we can customize the entire year around your changing priorities.

4 PART STRATEGY

This model of engagement includes four major integrated strategies that are part of an intentional and interactive process helping to maximize the impact of our partnership.
These four major strategies are complementary, catalytic, and fully connected with each other, keying on a dynamic balanced approach to make the most of our time together. They include: onsite one day visits, offsite virtual team meetings, one-on-one personal coaching sessions, and custom recorded online courses for your staff and ministry leaders.

On-Site / On-Campus One Day Visits

  • Establish the initial and ongoing relationship with key staff
  • Complete an initial comprehensive assessment and ongoing evaluation

One-On-One Coaching Calls

PARTNERSHIP PACKAGES

This blend of larger team meetings and smaller personal settings using on campus and off campus virtual sessions, team meetings and courses will allow a cost effective and time efficient process to address your felt needs and take your church to the next level. To that effect, I have further developed the pricing model to include a few sliding scales of engagement based on a variety of different needs, priorities, church size and even budget considerations.
