1. Sermon series research from innovative churches
We have studied thousands of churches and have learned their best practices, their topics, their timing, and their system of producing effective services. It’s one thing to have a great topic, but it’s another thing to know the right timing in delivering that topic, the right series to package it in, and the correct next steps to move your congregation forward. We will help you to integrate the best of creative design, outlines, and the impact they have with their leadership.
2. Develop major alignment campaign(s) and studies
What are the big themes in your ministry? What are your life passions? What message are you uniquely called to deliver? It’s not rocket science — it’s your go-to. It’s what you love to talk about all of the time. We’ll help you to define the messages and translates them into campaigns and studies.
3. Innovative sermon series finder and designer
This is both a finder system and a designer system. Maybe you’ve got an idea for your next series, but you haven’t had a chance to research it as thoroughly as you would like yet. We will show you how to take any sermon series that we have done or others have done and find some that match wherever you want to go. We can help you with curriculum, campaigns, and studies.
4. Sermon-based book writing and publishing
Starting with the major themes in your life and ministry, we will show you how to write a book without adding additional content. Our team offers help and support from ghostwriting and editing to layout and design. Once the book is written our team can show you how to publish your book or can publish your book for you. We could also help you recruit a team that can help you in this way.
5. Weekend service and creative programming ideas
After working at both Willow Creek and Saddleback, I have gained the experience of what works and what doesn’t work in the weekend service. You might have your go-to folks like Craig Groeschel, Andy Stanley, or others you depend on. We want to help bring together learnings from other tribes and share what we are learning to produce more innovative weekend services.
6. Create daily print and video devotionals
Another great application of content is creating a daily devotional. These devotions can take many forms — books, digital downloads, and video devotions. Again, with the idea of repurposing your content from the weekend, devotions come down to identify significant, bit-sized pieces to deliver in a short video or a short chapter.
7. Professionally publish all church resources
Any sermon series, sub-ministry, or any core content your church has developed can be reignited for new purposes. This involves an assessment of how many years you’ve been in the pulpit and what you want to accomplish in the years ahead. What are you going to do with your time? You can create books, curriculum, devotionals, campaigns, you name it with the content you’ve already developed. You can self-publish, do print-on-demand, or even be introduced to major Christian publishers that we’ve worked with.
8. Produce feature weekend stories and testimonies
Most churches don’t know how to do this or else they just do it once in a while. Typically, these are created by production people and not by storytellers. We coach churches on how to do this, not just on Easter, but every single weekend. We will show you how to expedite this process, how to vet the stories, and how to publish and produce these stories on a regular basis. Then you can also load up your social media with these powerful stories on a regular basis.
9. Create sermon-based small group curriculum library
You can take any and every sermon series and use one of our existing templates to create a beautiful, full color study guide for print-on-demand or digital download. One of the big discoveries we’ve made over the years is that your people would rather study your teaching rather than anybody else. They like you. They want more. By simply putting your study into our template, you have a printing press to help your people grow.
10. Produce next generation online service and promotion
Most churches have figured out how to do the talking head. We’re going to show churches how to make their online services way more engaging and a lot more fun. Our methods make online services more conversational and more interactive. This keeps your people from vegging out on their phones or fast forwarding during your worship service.
11. Recruit and train volunteer content creation team
A church of any size can develop a team of folks who will help you repurpose your content. We can help you to identify qualified candidates to do research, craft studies, and do many of the things we’ve described here.
12. Create sermon-based online courses and master classes
The world is headed toward digital distribution that is more direct-to-camera with more engaging cinema-quality b-roll and techniques. This isn’t a video of you walking back and forth across the stage. We will show you how to create a transcript, then develop your content into a shorter course edition for every one of your teaching series.
